Wells Fargo EGS Team Members Raise Money for Service-Based Organizations

Wells Fargo Enterprise Global Services, LLC – Philippines announced today that nearly Php 100,000 was raised during their Annual Fundraising Week held May 2 – 6, 2016. The money will be used to purchase supplies and materials for charitable organizations supported by Wells Fargo team members. Fundraising efforts were led by team members through the sale of homemade or pre-loved items, and by organizing games that allowed EGS team members to donate cash or provide in-kind support.

Proceeds from the week will be used to fund various outreach activities for Bikes for the Philippines Foundation, Concordia Children’s Services, CRIBS, Love Yourself Foundation, San Lorenzo Home for the Elderly, St. Rita Orphanage, St. Vincent de Paul Orphanage, and the UP-PGH Cancer Institute.

Wells Fargo EGS – Philippines has a long-term association with these institutions working in tandem with partner nongovernmental organizations (NGOs).

We started this event in 2013 as part of our Pamana community service program, with the initial objective of raising money for a public elementary school that we support.”

Fundraising Week is an important part of Wells Fargo’s commitment to volunteerism. It has evolved over the years, becoming a popular event with a fun atmosphere. This year, team members were able to participate in carnival games, karaoke sessions, a fitness challenge, a photo auction, and a donation drive for the Citizens’ Disaster Response Center.

Aside from making an impact on the communities we live in, the week-long event also strengthens the commitment of our team members to give back to the community,” Tirona added.

Proceeds from the 2015 Fundraising Week were given to the partner NGOs to be used for activities such as planting seedlings, improving libraries, constructing classrooms and distributing school kits. Globally, Wells Fargo team members volunteered more than 1.8 million hours of service in 2015, and the company has organized Wells Fargo Volunteer Chapters in 10 countries around the world.
