Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma Opens a Representative Office in Vietnam
Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Osaka, Japan; Representative Director, President and CEO: Hiroshi Nomura) announced today the opening of a new office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on October 1, 2021, which will serve as a representative office of Sumitomo Pharmaceuticals Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., its wholly-owned subsidiary in Singapore.
Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma currently has overseas subsidiaries in China, Singapore, Thailand, and Taiwan, in line with its strategy of focusing on the Asian pharmaceutical market, which offers high growth potential. With the new representative office, we aim to strengthen collaboration with local alliance partners and accelerate the acquisition of approval of new products from local regulatory authorities. We also plan to conduct market surveys and gather information with the establishment of a Vietnamese subsidiary in mind.
