(ABC Bourse) - Oncodesign Precision Medicine franchit une étape stratégique dans la maladie de Parkinson. La société biopharmaceutique a annoncé l’obtention d’une subvention de 6,92 millions de dollars (environ 5,84 millions d’euros) accordée par la Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research pour soutenir le développement clinique de son inhibiteur LRRK2, OPM-201.

Ce financement vise à préparer le produit clinique en vue d’une étude de phase 1b en 2027 chez des patients atteints de la maladie de Parkinson à un stade précoce, avec un focus sur les porteurs de la mutation LRRK2, ainsi qu’à lancer la phase 2. Il permettra également de conduire une étude de toxicologie à long terme et les travaux CMC nécessaires.

Un financement stratégique pour accélérer le développement d’OPM-201

La subvention s’inscrit dans le cadre du Therapeutic Pipeline Program de la fondation américaine, après l’intégration d’OPM au programme LRRK2 Investigative Therapeutics Exchange (LITE). OPM-201 a été évalué au sein des pipelines de tests standardisés de LITE.

OPM-201, initialement licencié à Servier, a achevé son essai de phase I chez des volontaires sains fin 2024 avant de réintégrer le portefeuille d’Oncodesign Precision Medicine.
